Bespoke Accoya flush casement windows, dormer replacements, and stable door installed in Huntworth, Bridgwater.

We are pleased to share the details of this extensive, multi-phase renovation project completed for a historic property in The West Wing at Huntworth, near Bridgwater. This project highlights our expertise in balancing modern high-performance materials with the strict requirements of heritage and listed building conservation.

Project Highlights & Specifications

Our team managed the design, manufacture, and installation of a complete joinery overhaul across three distinct phases:

  • Premium Materials: The entire project was crafted using high-durability Accoya timber, ensuring exceptional stability and longevity in the unpredictable British climate.

  • Conservation Expertise: For listed sections of the property, we installed specialist 4mm heritage glass, while standard double glazing was utilised elsewhere to improve thermal efficiency without compromising period aesthetics.

  • Flush Casement Windows: We manufactured traditional-style flush casement windows throughout, including full dormer replacements. These dormers required precise carpentry to replace the original fascia and timber surrounds, seamlessly blending new woodwork with the existing architecture.

  • Stable Door & Frame: The final phase involved a custom stable door featuring a secure, modern multi-point Winkhaus locking system.

  • Finishing Touches: All joinery was professionally factory-finished in Teknos standard clean white, providing a crisp, durable, and long-lasting finish.

  • Ironmongery: To maintain a cohesive, traditional feel, the project was fitted throughout with high-quality hardware from From the Anvil.

This Huntworth project demonstrates our ability to deliver bespoke joinery that satisfies both homeowners and local conservation officers, combining authentic character with the benefits of modern Accoya technology.
